Jesus, Faithful And True - Day 4

Day 4: Freedom from Guilt

Devotional

Guilt can be one of the heaviest burdens we carry. It whispers lies about our worth and keeps us trapped in shame. But here's the incredible truth: when Jesus forgives, He forgives completely. His faithfulness to forgive isn't partial or conditional - it's total and final. Yet many of us continue to carry guilt over things He has already forgiven. Why do we do this to ourselves? Perhaps we don't fully grasp the completeness of His forgiveness, or maybe we think our sins are too big for His grace. But His faithfulness to forgive is greater than our ability to sin. When we confess our failures to Him, He doesn't just cover them up - He removes them completely. The guilt we carry over forgiven sin isn't from God; it's from the enemy who wants to keep us bound. Today, you can walk in the freedom of knowing that every sin you've confessed is gone. His faithfulness guarantees it.

Bible Verse
'If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.' - 1 John 1:9 (New King James Version)

Reflection Question
What guilt or shame are you carrying that God has already forgiven, and how can you release it today?

Quote
You and I can be ultimately certain that he forgives us from everything. Why would we carry guilt and condemnation over something that he has in his faithfulness forgiven us?- Pastor Alex Wilson

Prayer
Lord, thank You for Your complete forgiveness. Help me walk in the freedom You've provided and release any guilt over sins You've already forgiven. In Jesus name amen.

Am making the girls that were in Discovery aware of these devotionals. What a blessing that we are so rich in the availability of the Gospel in so many different ways. Sent this info to our group chat.
